- Passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N4 or higher.
- OR, passing the Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese (JFT-Basic).
- OR, having successfully completed Technical Intern Training (Type 2 or 3), as this often implies sufficient language acquisition.
- Age: You must be 18 years of age or older.
- Health: You must be in good health.
